Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, is testing internal AI systems known as “human emulators,” which are fast computer-using agents that directly see the computer screen, click with a mouse, and type with a keyboard. They are designed to behave like white-collar employees and interact with real staff, with some already appearing on company org charts.

The World Economic Forum kicked off this week in Davos, featuring an intense focus on AI that included discussions with the industry’s top minds, including Anthropic’s Dario Amodei, Google’s Demis Hassabis, and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella. Amodei took a shot at U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent policy allowing AI chip sales to China, likening it to “selling nuclear weapons to North Korea”.
AI creative platform Lightricks just released a new Audio-to-Video feature, allowing users to start with voice, music, or sound effects and then generate the video output to accompany it. The tool syncs motion, lip movements, and camera work directly to the uploaded audio, keeping consistency across generations.
Anthropic and Teach For All launched the AI Literacy and Creator Collective to help teachers build practical AI skills. More than 100,000 educators across 63 countries can access Claude, join live learning sessions, and share classroom uses. Teachers already created climate curricula, math games, and digital workspaces aligned with local needs.
Bristol Myers Squibb has signed a deal with Microsoft to deploy FDA-cleared radiology AI through Microsoft’s Precision Imaging Network to speed up early lung cancer detection across U.S. hospitals.The system analyzes X-ray and CT scans to flag hard-to-detect lung nodules, aiming to identify patients earlier in the disease pathway and support more precise treatment decisions by clinicians.
