The AI listing race just got its heaviest hitter. OpenAI confidentially filed for a US IPO on Monday, a little over a week after rival Anthropic did the same. The ChatGPT maker didn't disclose size, price, or timing but it has been has reported that it’s eyeing a valuation of up to $1 trillion, with a debut potentially as early as September. The move comes as SpaceX pursues a record-setting $75 billion offering at a $1.75 trillion valuation.

Apple kicked off WWDC 2026 with its hotly anticipated AI overhaul (pt. 2), rebranding its assistant to Siri AI, with new integrations and features coming two years after the initial Apple Intelligence rollout overpromised but underdelivered. Siri AI is powered by Apple’s own models, custom-built in collaboration with’ Google’s Gemini models, but not the same ones Google provides to its users.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and chief scientist Jakub Pachocki published a blog titled "Built to benefit everyone", breaking down the company’s goals as AI progress continues to accelerate — saying it's now entering a "third phase." The post detailed three core goals: building AI that automates the research process, accelerating the economy, and giving everyone “a personal AGI”.
Samsung is reportedly in the early stages of producing AI space computing chips for SpaceX's satellite chip ambitions. SpaceX plans to build satellites in space that process and beam data back to Earth. TSMC has also been named as a manufacturing partner. Early-stage chip production could include anything from prototype silicon to limited qualification runs.
Google's research tool is getting more autonomous. With Monday's update, NotebookLM can build a knowledge base for you by suggesting and finding sources via Google Search instead of making you upload your own first. The release also makes Gemini 3.5 the default model and adds exports across formats including PDF, .docx, .csv, .json, Excel, and PowerPoint.
