Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek revealed he purchased the AI.com domain for $70M, the largest domain sale ever, debuting the site as an autonomous AI agent platform for consumers with a Super Bowl commercial. The platform promises a personal AI agent that can trade stocks, manage calendars, send messages, and automate workflows with no technical setup.

AI companies/products took over Super Bowl LX with a wave of commercials, featuring spots from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Amazon, Meta, and startups that turned the Big Game into a battlefield for consumer AI attention. Anthropic made its SB debut with its viral campaign against ads in AI, whose launch kicked off a viral feud with OpenAI and Sam Altman last week.
Four US tech giants plan to spend a combined $650B this year as the AI race turns into a full scale infrastructure battle. Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft are pouring record cash into AI infrastructure. Spending is up about 60% year over year, driving a global data center construction wave.
Apple plans to release a slew of products over the next several weeks. The iPhone 17e is set to launch imminently at $599, and updated iPads with Apple Intelligence will be coming soon. There are also several Macs coming shortly, including new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, a new MacBook Air with an M5 processor, and upgraded Mac Studio desktops.
SpaceX will delay a mission to Mars planned for this year to instead focus on a long-promised lunar voyage for NASA. The company is targeting March 2027 for a lunar landing without humans on board. Before heading to the Moon, SpaceX will need to demonstrate that Starship can be frequently launched and refuel while in orbit.
