Google DeepMind launched Project Genie, a web app that lets users create and explore AI-generated worlds in real time — coming five months after previewing the Genie 3 model that powers it in August. Users prompt a setting and a character, preview the scene via Nano Banana Pro and Gemini, then navigate an explorable world in first or third-person.
Apple acquired Q AI, an Israeli AI audio startup, in a deal reportedly worth nearly $2B that brings the founder of its Face ID technology back to the company. Patents hint at AirPods and smart glasses integration. The kicker: Q.ai's CEO built the tech behind Face ID.
A group of music publishers led by Concord Music Group and Universal Music Group filed a lawsuit against Anthropic, alleging the company illegally downloaded over 20,000 copyrighted songs, including sheet music, lyrics, and musical compositions.
Cloudflare has released Moltworker, an open-source middleware that allows users to run Moltbot, a popular self-hosted AI agent, on Cloudflare's Developer Platform without needing dedicated hardware like Mac minis. Select “Upload your content” and add a book or document by pasting a link, typing text, or uploading a file.
You will find your new content in the library. Click on it and press play to hear your book read aloud by the AI narrator. (You can also change the voice.)
Tap the voice chat button in the bottom-right corner to ask questions about the text.
You can ask your book about characters, themes, plot points, worldbuilding, or even get a full summary of the document.
The narrator remembers context and responds based on the actual text.
