Tesla's Oasis Supercharger, an EV charging station with a solar farm and off-grid batteries, is now open in Lost Hills, California. The project consists of 168 chargers, half of which are currently operational. It is equipped with 11 MW of ground-mounted solar panels and canopies. Spanning 30 acres of land, it has 10 Tesla Megapacks with a total energy storage capacity of 39 MWh.
Google DeepMind’s spinout Isomorphic Labs is about to start human trials for its AI-designed drugs, aiming to transform drug discovery forever. The company raised $600 million in 2025 and signed major deals with Novartis and Eli Lilly. It hopes to design drugs faster and cheaper, with higher success rates, using AI.
On Friday, Elon Musk announced that his AI startup, xAI, had improved his AI chatbot, Grok, “significantly” by retraining it on “less garbage” data (after previously asking users to share “diverse facts” that could be seen as “politically incorrect, but factually true”). However, users have since reported that the “newly improved” Grok criticizes Democrats, Jewish Hollywood executives, and even Musk himself.
