Anthropic published a new study testing how AI agents act while in groups, with its wildest test seeing a shared server devolve into a “turf war” with three Claude agents sabotaging and locking each other out over four hours. A codebase was given to three hidden Claude agent co-owners, with each assigned a rewrite in a different programming language.
Writer, which offers AI tools and agents for marketers, just launched a new flagship model called Palmyra X6 in an effort to provide a lower per-token cost model option to users. Built as a post-training variation on Z.ai’s open source model GLM-5.2, the company estimates the new model will cut costs for customers by as much as 50% for basic tasks.
DeepSeek set V4-Pro output at $3.96 per million tokens during peak hours and $1.98 outside them, up from a flat $0.87. Claude Haiku 4.5, the cheapest model Anthropic currently sells, charges $5 per million output tokens. V4-Pro is the largest model DeepSeek has built, with 1.6 trillion parameters and a million-token context window.
