Anthropic just unveiled 10 ready-to-run AI agents aimed squarely at financial services and insurance — capable of handling work ranging from building pitchbooks and screening KYC files to reviewing earnings and valuations. Each agent comes with task-specific domain skills and instructions, connectors to relevant data sources, and add-on Claude models for sub-tasks.
OpenAI is reportedly accelerating development of its first AI phone, now aiming for mass production in the first half of 2027, which is a full year earlier than previously reported, according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo says the timeline shift is likely driven by OAI’s IPO ambitions (strong hardware could strengthen investor pitch) and rising competition in AI phones.

Craft marketplace Etsy just launched a native app within ChatGPT, opening up a new way for shoppers to explore its catalog of over 100 million listings. The new experience surfaces product recommendations based on natural language prompts, rather than traditional keyword queries.
Apple will allow users to select from multiple third-party AI providers to power features across its software. The change will be implemented in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 this fall. Apple is looking to make it easy for customers to find a wide range of options on its devices rather than building the best AI software or services. The shift will give users more flexibility and benefit partners like Google and Anthropic.
