Peter Steinberger, who created the AI personal assistant now known as OpenClaw, has joined OpenAI. The Walt Disney Company claims ByteDance built Seedance 2.0 using copyrighted material from franchises like Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic Universe. The letter accuses ByteDance of enabling users to generate and share videos featuring characters such as Spider-Man and Darth Vader without authorization. Industry response was immediate.
The US military used Anthropic's AI model Claude during its operation to kidnap Nicolás Maduro from Venezuela. Claude was accessed through Anthropic’s partnership with Palantir Technologies, a defense contractor with classified platform access. It would be the first known use of a private AI model in a classified Department of Defense operation.
Meta plans to add facial recognition to its Ray-Ban smart glasses later this year. Its 'Name Tag' feature will let wearers identify people and get information about them via the company's AI assistant.
