Grok 4 Fast shows how the AI race is shifting toward efficiency as well as capability. This new model uses reinforcement learning to increase reasoning power while cutting token costs by 40%.
The companies are in talks on a multi-year agreement worth about $20 billion that would make Oracle a key cloud partner for Meta’s AI workloads. Oracle would provide compute for training and deploying Meta’s models, expanding beyond its existing partnerships. Meta declined to comment and Oracle did not respond to requests. The negotiations highlight Oracle’s growing role after securing a five-year contract with OpenAI.
At Connect 2025, Meta revealed new Ray-Ban Display smart glasses and a Neural Band wristband that reads nerve signals (sEMG) so users can silently type in the air. Zuckerberg said he types at about 30 words per minute this way, compared to ~21 wpm for testers and ~36 wpm on phones.
