Figma’s AI-powered app builder, Figma Make, has officially launched for all users, moving beyond its beta limited to Full Seat subscribers. The tool lets designers prototype apps with natural language prompts, similar to GitHub Copilot, but uniquely accepts design references, images or Figma files, to shape the final output
Unitree revealed the R1, a nimble humanoid robot priced at just $5,900 (one of the cheapest on the market). Weighing 25kg with 26 joints, it can cartwheel, run, punch, and even stand up on its own, as shown in a demo. The R1 is far more affordable than Unitree’s previous models (the G1 starts at $13,600, and the H1 at $89,000).
Dynamics Lab recently introduced Mirage, the first real-time generative game engine. It lets players create and modify entire game worlds on the fly using natural language, keyboard, or controller inputs. Two playable demos are already out: Urban Chaos (a GTA-style game) and Coastal Drift (a Forza Horizon-style racer), both fully generated by AI.
Former OpenAI researcher Shengjia Zhao will lead research efforts at Meta’s new AI unit, Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), according to Mark Zuckerberg today. Zhao contributed to several of OpenAI’s largest launches including ChatGPT, GPT-4, and o1, the company’s first AI reasoning model.

Turns your docs into podcasts with AI hosts on your phone
Google’s Gemini app now lets users generate and play AI-powered, podcast-style summaries of documents directly within the app on both Android and iOS.
Uploading a document or slide deck to Gemini on the mobile app (or the web) now triggers a “Generate Audio Overview” option.
After generating an Audio Overview, you can find the audio file in your chat or notification history.
Tap on the Audio Overview. Instead of redirecting you to a browser, the Gemini app now opens a dedicated audio player interface.
You can use the built-in controls to play, pause, rewind, or skip forward in 10-second increments, and adjust playback speed using the controls on the left side of the player.
Download the audio file directly from the player if you want offline access or prefer to listen later.
The AI podcast draws out key points, summarizes content, and explores connections between topics—providing a richer understanding than a simple text summary.
