The end of an era. Apple announced today that Tim Cook, who has served as Apple’s CEO since CEO Steve Jobs stepped down in 2011, is leaving his position. Cook will remain in his role until September 1 of this year, when Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering John Ternus will take over as CEO. Cook will then transition to a new role as Apple Executive Chairman.

Amazon has agreed to invest up to $25 billion in Anthropic as part of an expanded agreement to build out AI infrastructure. The investment includes $5 billion into Anthropic now, with up to $20 billion tied to certain commercial milestones. Anthropic has committed to spending more than $100 billion on Amazon Web Services technologies over the next 10 years.
Adobe just introduced CX Enterprise at its Adobe Summit, a new agentic platform built to help businesses coordinate marketing, content, and customer interactions through networks of AI agents. CX Enterprise weaves three pillars under one agentic orchestration layer: brand visibility, content supply chain, and customer engagement.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin is personally rallying DeepMind to out-code Anthropic with Gemini, according to The Information — creating a new “strike team” and pitching the effort to staff as the shortest route to self-improving AI systems. Research engineer Sebastian Borgeaud, who previously ran DeepMind's pretraining, is leading the group under CTO Koray Kavukcuoglu and Brin.
